Yannis Tzortzis presentation of the “green photo journeys” by car through 5 Continents aiming to raise social awareness through environmental photography.
Specifically, GP’s main tasks are: (i) to photo & video record on site “greenpoints of interest” in relation to best practices on the use of RES, and the utilization of traditional indigenous knowledge (UNESCO World Heritage List), (ii) to promote the rational use of energy via “energy tourism”, (iii) to provide energy education and (iv) to become a civil society tool of intercultural communication highlighting the strong energy ties and common environmental concerns among the peoples visited.

Dr. Yannis Tzortzis was born in Agios Nikolaos, Crete. He is a Legal Advisor to the Coordinating Committee of the Fair Development Plan, Lawyer at the Energy Regulatory Authority and Associate Lecturer of the Law School of the Democritus University of Thrace, specializing in Law and Environmental Law. He is a graduate of the Athens Law School and the London School of Economics and Political Science. He has been awarded a PhD from the University of London. He holds an LLM from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), DEA of the University of Brussels, MA of Panteion University, and Certificate on Regulation of Energy Utilities of the European University Institute of Florence.
He is the President of the Non-Profit Organization Green Project for the awakening of environmental awareness through the "green photographic journeys", which are under the auspices of the Greek National Commission for UNESCO. He is a Member of the Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain. He has been honored with international awards for his photographic work, which has been exhibited in Greece, England, France, Austria, China, Colombia, Uruguay, Australia, etc.
