Mouna Saboni

Born in 1987, Mouna Saboni lives and works in Rennes, France. With a French mother and a Moroccan father, she grew up with two nationalities. After earning a master’s degree in Social and Solidarity Economy, she attended the National School of Photography in Arles, graduating in 2012.

Mouna Saboni’s photographic work centers on the quest for identity, exploring personal memory closely tied to specific territories. Her long-term projects in Palestinian territories, Morocco, Brazil, and Jordan investigate her relationship to these places and the connection between individuals and their environments.

She won the Lagardère Prize in 2020, and her work is part of the collections at the Neuflize Foundation, the Blachère Foundation, the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, and the Montresso* Art Foundation. In 2024, she completed a residency at Medicis’s Villa in Rome.
